I used to think that people who attend church often were in a religious rut or in a state of religious boredom. They had built a life based on what their church taught them and they were never willing to step out of their comfort zone and try something new. I thought the reason so many people get stuck in this kind of rut was because churches do not give their members enough information about God. The problem seemed to be that the churches did not take into account that we all have different wants and needs when it comes to religion.
Some people want to learn about God and His heart for them, others want to know how they can get to heaven and what makes them a good person. However, the only way the churches could teach their members was by telling them what God wants from them. Or, “This is how you should live your life.”
